Hi All,

My name is Kate Strzinek. I live in Springfield, VA. This is my first

night on this site. My son Jack has a right club foot and we are

working with Dr. Herzenberg at the Mt. Sinai Rubin Institute.

Jack is getting his final cast removed on Friday and we are ready for

the appointment with the Markel shoes and 8 " bar. Conforming to the

standard Ponsetti approach, we are going to wear the device for 23h/day

for 3 months then will move to just nighttime.

Can anyone recommend tips for the first week in the shoes? certain

socks? Does it hurt? Will we need Tylenol? Do babies roll over with

the bar? Jack has rolled a few times with his single cast - do you

think he will be able to swing an 8 " bar?

Any suggestions or advice would be great.

Thanks

Kate
