Guest guest
Below is the letter that I've been sending to the clothing manufacturers that have websites with e-mail addresses (which is most of them!): I am writing to you on behalf of parents who have children with special needs for clothing. My son, now 6 months, was born with Clubfoot. His treatment has included serial casting on both feet, and now he is in special shoes. The shoes he wears are connected by a bar at the bottom of his feet, keeping his legs shoulder width apart. He wears the shoes full-time, with reduced wear in the near future. As you can imagine, finding clothing to work with both the casting and the shoes has been a challenge. I wanted to implore you to please make more sleep and plays without feet and that have snaps going all the way down both legs for other parents with similar situations. One out of a thousand babies each year are born in the US with clubfoot. Additionally, many children are born each year with other special needs that also require special clothing. Although the summer line will work for us, prior to now, we have been largely unable to purchase your products. I have looked at them, and thought that it would have been great to buy certain items, but ultimately have had to continue looking for other clothing lines with the features we needed. If you can please look into this, I'm sure there are many other parents who would appreciate it as well. Thank you.
