Guest guest
I just wanted to update how well Grace is going after having the posterior release on that stubborn little right foot! She has bilateral clubfoot but Dr Frick felt he would just do surgery on the worst. Surgery was April 22nd and she is starting to walk really well now. Before she had been having gait problems. Yesterday she was really running. I got her s on Tuesday; lastnight was her second night in them. She had been out of the braces for a few weeks before surgery so pretty much 2.5 months. Before she was crying at night alot and fussing that her braces were hurting. So I was a little leary of putting her into a new set........never the less I knew it needed to be done. SO of course when her new " sandals " came in the mail I oooohed and aaahed over them with her and big sister joined in. Grace could hardly wait to get them on later that night. She even tried them on and modeled them right then. She slept through the night without waking once, no crying in her sleep and when she woke up she was not crying because " I want my braces off, they hurt " . Its going on 9 now and she is still asleep!! For her, thats amazing!! As for her left foot(the one not operated on).........it still has rockerbottom and Grace has told me that the Dr did her surgery on the wrong foot. I wonder if now it is that she notices something different in the left foot. I hope the issue will resolve instead of getting worse. We will go for a check up and xrays to see if her bones have moved into position in early july. Boothe
