I know exactly how you feel...

I'm 26 and weigh 280 at 5'10 " and no one, and I mean NO one ever believes

that I weigh that much (In high school and college I weighed about 130!).

But I am a big girl. I had no problems until last year when I was finally

diagnosed with hypothyroid. I'm finding now that things are getting harder

and harder. If I don't have great shoes I can't walk for more than 2 hours

or so and be comfortable. Plus just in the last month or so I've started to

have problems with my ankles swelling and staying that way for a while. I

was approved for wls in early April by my insurance company. I had an

appointment for the beginning of June on a Monday, but on the Friday before,

the doc's office called me and told me they were going to have to

reschedule........for August.

I was pretty bummed.

I tried other docs my ins. would let me see, but they were booked even

farther in advance--this is definitely a popular thing!

I've just been reading all the posts on about 13 different groups and I also

attend two support meetings locally.

It'll happen eventually...
