Let's shut down the Sarc Monster & his friends!Howdy! This year, I am participating in the Hike for Lung Health by joining a team to help raise money for lung disease, research and education. I will join thousands of others throughout the area to walk at least one mile. I have joined the Hike for Lung Health, and am committed to raising funds for the Respiratory Health Association (RHAMC) and its walk partners as we aim to reduce the pain and suffering caused by lung diseases, the third leading cause of death and disability in the United States. Below is a link to my team page -- Please join my team and walk with us as we work together in the fight against lung disease. Let’s walk!Follow This Link to visit my personal web page and help me in my efforts to support Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago******************************************************************************Some email systems do not support the use of links and therefore this link may not appear to work. Thanks, Darlene! Everybody, I'm not expecting donations; I know that most of you are tight on money. I just wanted you to know what was happening, considering participating from your area (if you are unable to walk, you can still participate), and just support me with your prayers & encouragement. I'm just hoping that it will be cooler by late September. It's running in the mid-90's here in central Indiana, which is really hot for us. The good thing is that it cools off at night. Yesterday the high was 97, but it cooled off to 70 during the night. It's supposed to drop down into the high 80's this weekend.

I'm getting ready to go kayaking with my 11 yo grandson in a little bit. At least I'll have the cool water to dump on my head! At least half the river is shady, but I'm taking some sunscreen anyway.

Well, talk to y'all tomorrow. This evening I'll have my niece's two little ones, plus Brannon is staying the night.
