Guest guest
Hi Group, I just wanted everyone to know that Marcia Kanter had her BPD/DS surgery yesterday. Dr. Ren was able to do her completely lap. Her surgery lasted about 6 hours. Dr. Ren removed Marcia's appendix and gallbladder and she also fixed a bad hiatal hernia that has been bothering her. She was out of surgery by 3:30 p.m. yesterday. I spoke with Marcia just a few minutes ago and she sounded great! Her foley catheter was out and she was using her Pain Pump. She was sitting up and her DH Marty was helping her walk around. She passed her leak test and she is drinking water, Gatorade and tea. Way to go Marcia! She anticipates being discharged from NYU on Monday.
