Yes Nick, I know that. But the " built in lie detectors " are easy to

fake your way through. I don't think you need to know a lot about

the MMPI (although I've taken it before) to get past them. I saw the

complete MMPI scores I got and I scored high on honesty. haha

One of the ones I remember from the original MMPI was: " I use the

same table manners with company that I do at home. " (True/False). I

don't remember the others. When you took the test, the columns had

gaps and the lie scores were either at the bottom or top of one of

these gaps. Sorry not to have better info. It's been a long, long

time!

Oh hell,

If they are gonna ask me about my table manners, they are gonna deny

me the surgery for sure. Could someone point out the correct answer

for this please?

The correct answer is true. We avoid belching when we eat at the

local bistro. At home is another matter.

Takes note, Home belching is fine...anything about scratching?

Thanking you in advance for your niceness,

Theresa....gasping in anticipation!

The bistro was purely metaphorical. We don't have 'em in Sage so my

experience is actually quite limited.

Nick in Sage - not belching and still trying to be " nice "

My answer - PART II

As to the scratching, I would defer to Roseann Barr and ask if she

scratches the same at home as she does on the baseball field.

Best-

Nick in Sage - Who at present has no itch of any kind.

It is all true or false. They space many of the Q's out so

you " forget " what you said, but it's really pretty simple.

I like to work on mechanical things. T or F

I'd like a subscribtion to Popular Mechanics. T or F

I like to read. T or F

I think I'd like to be a librarian. T or F

Things like that. Just have to look for them, it's pretty easy!

I'm not sure if it is the same as the MMPI or not, but several years

ago (15+) I took a psych test for a state job and recall some of the

trick questions. What they did was ask the same question more than

once but worded differently hoping that you would forget how you

answered the first time. It was usually something that was toatally

irrelevent to the job or your state of mind. I think I was asked if I

liked to read the editorials 3-4 times. The point being there is no

write or wrong answer. They were looking for consistency.
