Guest guest
That is a pretty rude remark pretending to be a question, Carol. I know it wasn't directed at me. However I am an RN as well as having advanced practice degrees. I have spell check on the computer where I write my progress notes. I also do that here. However, many RNs still write all their notes by hand and are not necessarily proficient at typing. I have seen literally thousands of typos and poor grammar here and on all the lists. As long as I can understand the content, then communication has happened. I am responsible for the posts I write. You are responsible for yours. We are not here to critique how others write. As far as I know, this list welcomes people who cannot type well, poor spellers, dyslexic folks and people with communication difficulties. The circle can be big enough to include us all. in Seattle ----- Original Message ----- > Dont RN's have know how to spell for when they write in a patients > chart? > CarolL >

Guest guest
, Strangely enough, when I was younger I was quite enamored by quick wit, sophistication, and taking clever pot shots at others. The older I get the more I appreciate simple kindness and the willingness to just let others be where they need to be and have support for their journey. I don't live up to this all the time, but this is my view. I'm doing well today. My tummy is hurting because I ate too much too quickly a few minutes ago. But overall I am pleased with the gradual increase in my energy, the way my tummy has settled down, all the pain is gone, and the weight keeps coming off. I was in a lot of pain, totally exhausted, and unable to eat for some time post op. My condition improved gradually and now, at 6 months out, I am very happy with my surgery and the results. I am very hopeful that you will continue to improve a bit at a time until you finally wake up one morning and realize you are feeling well, losing weight, and feeling a lot better. ----- Original Message ----- From: Happy2knowU2@... Guest guest
Carole.. only misspells stuff when she's upset.. which I do, too.. and you would be amazed at some of the terrible spelling in patient charts.. some of it even written by <gasp> doctors. What gets me is that the nurses I know who do misspell words in their charting are usually the first ones to jump on another coworker who has made a mistake.. we're all human, it happens.. yanno? Liane postop 6.5 weeks.. Transplant RN STILL had to be told to go to the ER when she was dehydrated postop because she was too stubborn to admit she was in trouble... > Dont RN's have know how to spell for when they write in a patients > chart? > CarolL
