Guest guest
Hello Well here we go again... we started over with the casting about 6 weeks ago and the correction went really well this time and it was so much faster... so we did the tenotomy and had the cast on for 3 weeks and it came off today... just in time for Avery's first birthday (the 24th..today actually).. she did OK getting the shoes on but after about 3 hours she started really fussing so I knew that was what it was... when I got her home we took a nice long tubby together and we did get them back on but we did give her a little Benedryl ( bad right???) ... we are going to get through this one way or another... I may need something to make it through also!! We knew this was going to be our biggest challenge and we ARE going to make it work this time... has anyone needed to give medication just to help with the initial start of wearing the DBB? I was very against that back in the fall when we first started this but now I just want to make sure she keeps these on for 23/7 for now ... through out the night she keeps waking up and fussing but has fallen back asleep so far .... what am I doing up since it could be a long night , right?? Well I just wanted to share that we are back in the bar again and wonder if anyone has used any medication to help work them into these shoes... just to make them a little drowsy so they don't fight it so bad.... I am wondering on how many days I would need to do that... I need to call the Dr. tomorrow but just wanted to throw that out there to ask you guys... Thanks so much.. mommy to: Chesney 8.7.00 Delaney 6.24.04 Avery 6.24.04 ( LCF DBB 23/7)
