Guest guest
Can I just say that since my son was diagnosed ( in utero) last january, every single time I have a question or worry about my son's treatment all I have to do is log on to this group and there is my answer. I almost never even have to post or search the message archives! I have not been her for months, but today, I tried to go to the website to order a new pair of shoes only to find it missing! I scrolled through a few postings and there was the information that I was looking for! There is something so beautiful and powerful running through these message threads. Complete strangers (for the most part) out there helping, comforting and loving each other through the most difficult of times. I find it so comforting that, at any given time, many of you out there (just like me) are strapping those little tootsies into dbb's, getting clobbered with them at night, inspecting every millimeter of foot flesh and bone for a relapse, and extolling the virtues of the amazing Dr. P on a daily basis. And - you still have time to sit down at the computer and answer the same questions over and over and over again. All of your kind and helpful words can melt my anxiety like a margarita on a summer afternoon. You all rock and give me renewewd faith in the human race!! Thank you, > Does anyoone have the address for Shoes? I am out of the > office and the girls need it and they cannot find it. Guest guest
OMG , I'm obviously way behind... You are soooo cool! Thank you!! I never thought about it like that, but you're right. That's what it is... a cool drink on a hot summer afternoon! Perfect! I know I was so much more comforted when I could come here at first. I've always been on email lists for various things but this list was the one thing I could rely on when we first were met with such trying times. I came here and was reassured so many times and questions were answered. When I told dh how it should be, he knew I had the best information I could possibly get because of this list. When he told me repeatedly, " she will thank you when she's older for all your research efforts " , I knew time spent doing this meant something. And thank you to all who helped us here. We went through 8w of pure hell getting to know this brace... I know I would have been on a different journey if I hadn't come here. The issues Darbi had with her brace at first were monumental and I almost caved... Had it not been for the amazing parents here telling me I must stick it out if it was to work. I would have never found all the things that I did that have helped so many other parents also stick it out. It just gets better and better with this list and we learn so much every day!! So many parents, so many ideas, so many experiences to draw on... I couldn't ask for a better group of people to say I'm friends with. And smart too! Some pretty ingenious stuff coming out of these people! (still love the aluminum foil thing for a stripped sole plate, way cool!) I really love what you posted. It really means so much to hear how valued our efforts are and how you find it so positive in your life. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. It makes it all worth it (even when dh is complaining about being ignored for clubfoot babies lol!) and I wouldn't change a thing if I could (other than for the Darbs to *not* have clubfoot in the first place). Guest guest
I totally agree with you Kori! I have found such a wealth on info on this group that I do not know what I would do with out all of you!! IF it had not been for this group I would not have found Dr.P and I never would have got the courage to travel all the way to Iowa without all the encouragement I received from you all, so thank you. It is nice to know that when I have a question or concern I can post a message and someone will have the answer for me. We all have busy lives, kids to watch, dh to watch, clean, work, wash, and despite all this we all time to help each other out. That is just so cool! Would'nt it be cool to one day all of us get together, sip on those " maragritas " and let our club foot kiddos run around and play with each other? How cool would that be? and BL CF 12/16/03 > > > Does anyoone have the address for Shoes? I am out of the > > > office and the girls need it and they cannot find it.
