Guest guest
Hi , We used to only go out for a meal during his brace-free time so that wasn't a problem. The problem we found is that a lot of restaurants only have one highchair but we have twins! Also quite annoying... with (*9/02) and Alister (*9/02, RCF, Ponseti method, UK) --- kannhoudek wrote: > I was just curious....has anyone else had issues > with the highchairs at > restaurants when your child is wearing the FAB? Guest guest
Thankfully, most of the places we've been to have several chairs. Too bad they don't work! Aleksander is so good all the time, it is really pretty easy for us to take him with us. We just have to time it so he is eating right before we order, and finishing up while our food is being prepared. If he's full, he's happy to sit there and play while we eat...or chatter at the other people in the restaurant. Twins! Yikes. I had an ultrasound at my first pre-natal appointment to rule out twins because there is such a strong family history of them for both me and my husband. > > > I was just curious....has anyone else had issues > > with the highchairs at > > restaurants when your child is wearing the FAB? Guest guest
yet another reason I like the gold bar for infants. Not only to take the shoes off the bar to apply them, but you can quickly undo one side and slip him into about anything that has a bar or whatever between the legs. We rarely went out with the baby when she was in her brace full time, but she was also an infant and stayed in her carseat (which can be put on those restaurant high chairs either on the seat or if you flip the highchair upside down it fits perfectly in the bottom). As well as she's our third... we have no money for restaurants! lol... Guest guest
Hi We also left in the push chair at restaurants, he was always very comfortable. When he was out of the FAB full-time we used a plastic booster that cost about $18 (Fisher Price) I don't like restaurant high chairs that much - they are always so dirty! and 24 Jan 2003, bilateral cf Moss STEPS CHARITY www.steps.org.za Re: Highchair Rant Hi , We used to only go out for a meal during his brace-free time so that wasn't a problem. Guest guest
I know what you mean about not having money! We go out with family only...and if it is my parents, they always pay for the pleasure of seeing their only grandchild! Definite advantage in being the first! We've unhooked the shoes too, but Aleksander kicks so much, it is tough to get under the chair and get the bar back on. Then he gets his feet/bar caught underneath the foot rest they put on these stupid things and screams so we have to get him out of the chair quickly. I hate those stupid chairs! And having him sit on our lap is not an option. He's far too grabby. Plus he's finally getting his first tooth so EVERYTHING has to go into his mouth. We've adjusted to everything else with the shoes quite nicely, but now that he sits up and loves to be in the chairs, we've come to a new challenge. He is a little older than most in the bar full-time because he is 7 months now. That was due to a late start (he was in the NICU because he was early and they don't do Ponsetti at that hospital) and then the healing casts he had for 3 or 4 weeks after attempt number one in the FAB. I guess I shouldn't complain though. At least we can take him out with us pretty much anywhere. He loves getting out so he's always happy in public. > >I was just curious....has anyone else had issues with the highchairs at > >restaurants when your child is wearing the FAB?
