oh Colin! I know Colin LOL!

Sorry , I didn't recognize your email addy in there.

Hon, I don't know... I know you've been agonizing over this for so

long. We know Dr. H. knows what he's doing... but it seems like you still

need someone else to tell you it's the right thing. Have you thought about

actually visiting Dr. Ponseti? How long would it take to drive

there? Would that make you more comfortable? I'm thinking if it could be

driven in a reasonable time you might want to do it. Or, just let it fall

in Dr, H's hands and hope for the best. The surgery isn't really a foot

managing surgery is it? It's just the surgical procedure to put the

fixator in place right? So this isn't going to leave a lot of scar tissue

to cause pain. And while it sounds bad, Dr. H. has casted and casted and

Colin has worn his shoes like he's supposed to... yet still having

issues. If you have the choice of the ATTT or the fixator, do you know

which has the best chances of normalcy? Honestly, now that I know a little

more about the fixator it sounds way less horrible than it did before. If

it'll work, maybe it is the best option? You've done everything you can to

get him to this point. And even so, the surgery he's having is NOT the big

surgery. 5% need some kind of surgical procedure remember... it seems that

Colin has fallen into this percentage. Which in itself doesn't seem so out

of place considering his first 2 years of treatment being so messed

up. Just think where he'd be right now without Dr. H? it could be much

worse :~}

Hey, I've been wondering how you've been lately. I wasn't online much and

may have missed an update in the past few months. I hope things are good

with you and you're happy and healthy.

Hugs,

Kori
