Guest guest
Hey all--just a little Ava update! She's doing really really well...as a matter of fact, a little TOO well in the FAB! Today, she actually climbed OUT of her CRIB & FELL ON THE FLOOR!!! (While wearing the FAB in case that wasn't clear) HELP ME PEOPLE!! SHE'S ONLY 10 MONTHS OLD!!!! They were supposed to be napping, and my 5 yr. old came running out to tell Daddy " Ava's on the floor! " We have no idea how she did it, Neve didn't see it either--she sleeps in the same room, but puts her back to Ava because Ava just wants to play otherwise. I knew she was doing really well in the FAB, she crawls like a champ, and has been cruising in it. I don't think it's slowed her or delayed her one bit (otherwise she may have been walking at 7 or 8 months!). But this--sheesh! I remember reading another mom's experience with her kid climbing out of the crib in the FAB, but I think he was like 2 or 3! Oh well! I have an overachiever, I guess! Is there something wrong with me that I'm secretly a little proud that my goofy child did a swan dive out of her crib? It's a good thing we didn't have to go to the hospital--I'd probably have been like a proud momma-- " My baby fell out of her crib, isn't that GREAT!??!?!? " They would have figured I had Munchausen's or something! 8-P , mommy of: Guinevere, on, and the amazing AVA the WONDER BABY!!!

Guest guest
Weellllll....the crib was only set on the 2nd level down. But that is chest height on Ava...I certainly didn't expect that to be too low! So yes, we're going to lower it to the bottom setting. My son was a monkey from day one of conception...and only managed to get out of the crib 2 times before he went into the toddler bed at 2...and those times were spread over a few months. I think he forgot how he did it afterwards! I'm hoping it was just a fluke on Ava's part, and not that she's THAT determined to escape! Otherwise, I don't know what to do. Someone suggested the toddler bed, but she's only 10 months--I don't think there's any way I could keep her in it at night. She goes down fairly easily at night, but does fuss a little at nap time. (Obviously!) > > Hey all--just a little Ava update! She's doing really really > > well...as a matter of fact, a little TOO well in the FAB! Guest guest
, sorry I'm so late in responding...been on vacation. For pete's sake, put that crib all the way down!! If that doesn't keep her in try a porta crib as they are harder to get out of...and if your daughter is like my son and that doesn't work either? put a matteress on the floor and get ready for some busy nights! LOL Hang in there! Hope she's staying in!! > > > Hey all--just a little Ava update! She's doing really really > > > well...as a matter of fact, a little TOO well in the FAB! Guest guest
It's so strange...she is very much like her brother--a climber!! She climbed up ONTO my bed yesterday...and from there onto the nightstand...she's into ANYTHING and EVERYTHING!!! It's good though, my first was very laid-back, too laid back almost. She was in no hurry to do anything. My 2nd (a boy, of course!) was jumping and dancing from conception onwards. So all in all, I guess I'm glad #3 takes after him more in that sense--she's very determined and I think that's help her reach her milestones with very little delay despite the casting/FAB. There's something really funny about her " walking " around holding my fingers wearing the FAB! > > > > Hey all--just a little Ava update!
