Guest guest
Hi! My surgery was Sept 27, 1997. My BMI was 54 and I am now at 26. Still considered " overweight " , but I wear a size 10/12 and Dr. Anthone guesses I am carrying about 30 pounds of leftover skin that really should be removed when I get enough moola to do it. If I had the tummy tuck I need my pant size would drop to 8 or smaller. A friend of mine had a DS and has lost over 280 pounds. He was diabetic, suffered with apnea, etc. He now wears size 34 trousers and feels 30 years younger. I remember well the fear and worry in the months before I had surgery. It was hard and the last thing I remember as I was sitting in pre-op waiting for the next phase was " I can still change my mind. " The next thing I knew, I was in the ICU recovering from the operation. Forge ahead! Do what the powers that be inspire you to do. It has definitely been worth every bit! Even the Iron injections I am currently getting. Deborah 307 lbs now 154 lbs and loving it!
