Guest guest
Howdy everybody!!! First of all, let me please say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to Steve Goldstein, who was the perfect angel. Thank you so much Steve. And thank you to a, Sue, , Gwen for calling me while in the hospital. I apologize for not remembering what I said to ANY of you!!! HA! Ha!! Well, I'm officially "switched" and one week, and one day post-op now. Oh, by the way, Dr. Vanguri ended up taking my gallbladder out as well. He said that it had major cholesterol deposits on it. I've never heard of that before, but sounds GROOSSSS to me!! Anyway, I'm doing pretty good so far. I've been on soft foods since I've been home, mostly stuff like scrambled eggs, soups, yogurt, etc. I'm finding I have no appetite at ALL for ANY of it, and I've been terrible about drinking my water, although I am trying very hard to do so. I'm not taking anything at all for pain. The first day I was home I took the prescribed pain meds and MAN!! That stuff was NASTY!! I didn't like the way that made my head feel at all!! So, for now I just take extra strength tylenol as needed. My stay in lin Square Hospital was a very positive one. I had excellent care the entire time I was there. And I have to say that I have more respect for Dr. Vanguri now than ever. Well gang, I want to thank you all for your outpouring of love and support before I went in, and while I was in. I've missed these lists terribly. You all are SUCH wonderful, supportive people, and I have thanked God every day for being blessed enough to know you, even if it is only through a computer screen. Well, I must go for now, as it is NOT very comfortable sitting here. I'll write more as I feel up to it. Hugs to all, Pam 8 days post-op in MD Dr. Vanguri Surgery date July 9, 2001
