Guest guest
My son is being worked up for mito, and were waiting for the biopsy results right now... (though from the bloodwork it sounds like their pretty confident thats what were dealing with). I have alot of bizarre symptoms (autonomic failure, heart/kidney issues, wierd MRI, etc) so they did a carnatine screen on me in September which came back borderline... Im currently 6 months pregnant, and they said that pregnancy could cause the levels to be borderline, so they redid the test in October and its apparently quite a bit lower.... so their redoing it once more, and it sounds like they are considering suppliments if its still low... does anyone know how much pregnancy plays a role in these levels? after I had my son, I had the worst health crisis of my life, (in a matter of days I developed SEVERE POTS, lost rediculous amounts of weight, and just over all fell apart totally) and im curious if it may have been a mito crash caused by my carnatine dropping so much through the pregnancy... also has anyone taken carnitine suppliments WHILE pregnant... is it considered safe?
