Guest guest
We are one more step closer to having a perfect foot. Jayson had his tenotomy yesterday morning at 6:00AM at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh.. Dr. Ward was great. Before they took Jayson to the OR room, he came out and talked to us a bit. There wasn't too much to say, as we've discussed the procedure prior to the surgery, but he just gave us peace of mind that it was going to be OK. They wheeled him off and we went to the O.R. waiting room. 15 minutes later Dr. Ward came out to tell us that everything went perfect and that he did the measurments for the FAB and recasted him. He told me that recovery would let us know when he woke up. About 5 minutes after Dr. Ward came in, Recovery called the OR waiting room and told us to come in. When we got in there, Jayson was wide eyed and bushy tailed! LOL! He was not uncomfortable at all with the surgery. He was just REALLY hungry. Because he went under general anesthetic, he wasn't able to have a bottle after 1:30AM the morning of the surgery. When we got in there, he ate a 2 oz bottle go glucose water and a whole bottle (4 fl. oz.)of formula. After that he was completely content. and I are so relieved that this step is over. *sigh of relief* Just figured I'd share! -BJ
