Guest guest
Hello , I dont know if it is to soon for you but I find that yoghurt keeps me nice and regular maybe its because it has the live acidopholous cultures which is good bacteria which is needed that to my understanding (and I could be wrong) are destroyed in your intestine when you have surgery. Of course before you take any course of action discuss it with your surgeon first. Best of luck. Guest guest
, If you can't take yoghurt (I've become lactose intolerant), you can find acidopholus in capsule form in health food stores or pharmacies. Guest guest
- I'm told that for most people (I'm not one of those), this stage passes very quickly. However, the one thing I've heard over & over to help firm things up is acidophilus- get a good brand, take ~3/day for the first week, then take 1 or 2 daily as a maintenance dose. If you can tolerate it, live culture yogurt is helpful, too. Stay hydrated too- you especially need water when its passing through so quickly! Feel better soon- Hugs, Liane > I am just home from the hospital after surgery last Thursday for an > open DS. I am experienceing pure watery BM's that can come all of a > sudden.
