, Now you can get some sleep. Here's the guy...You Can Call Him Ray Remember this guy? Ray J. . J. , Jr. is a character created by comedian Bill Saluga. His schtick is to become annoyed when addressed as "Mr. ", exclaiming in a loud voice, "You can call me RAY; or you can call me JAY", and so on listing other names he could be called, until finally finishing, "but you doesn't hafta call me JOHNSON!" wrote: Now I'll be up for hours trying to remember who that comedian was......Join our Sock Challenge for Orphans in Kazakhstan - 265 pairs needed by 9/15/07 http://groups. yahoo.com/ group/Mittens_ for_Akkol/ grannylunatic (AT) yahoo (DOT) com Be a better Heartthrob. I must have missed that; sounds really funny! Do any of you remember the guy who used to bring his dog on shows (like Ed Sullivan; now you know I'm old!). He would keep trying to get the dog to do tricks and the dog would just lay there. It was so funny; both he & the dog kept such straight faces. Ahh, those were the days.

Thanks Naa! Was he on Laugh In in the 60's? I kept thinking of Flip but I knew that wasn't right. Yea I fell asleep to quit thinking about him in that dress as Geraldine! LOL There won't be much sleep tonight. It was Cytoxan day and I grabbed my folder & started reading it. They put Anzemet and dexamethasomething in my iv today. No wonder I want to eat like a pig before the iv is done. Somehow I managed to loose a pound after eating my leftover birthday cake, an 8 pack of Reese cups, a box of Little Debbies, and a small chocolate cheesecake! LOL And more deserts than I can remember at the bridal shower!Join our Sock Challenge for Orphans in Kazakhstan - 265 pairs needed by 9/15/07 http://groups. yahoo.com/ group/Mittens_ for_Akkol/ grannylunatic@...

I think I've told you guys that my mom has Alzheimer's now. Last week I was over there with (6) and he asked her if she liked Elvis (he knows I'm a real Elvis fan). Mom said, Oh, yes, and that her husband (my dad) had discovered Elvis! She said that he was one of the first ones to realize that Elvis would be a star. I didn't try to correct her or argue about it. I just hope that Jon doesn't go around telling people that his grandpa discovered Elvis!

Does anyone remember the show called "Love American Style"? I remember it being really funny...also, all of this talk of past shows and characters has made me think of Tim Conway on the Carol Burnett Show when he played Mr. Tudball and Carol played Mrs. Awhiggins (?). These two characters were such a crack up...especially the way Carol Burnett walked with her butt stuck clear out and her knees together! They just don't make shows like those anymore!

I loved it when Carol Burnett would go sharpen the pencil with the old crank type. That big butt of hers swinging with each crank. My favorite was the take off of Gone With The Wind when she came down the steps in the dress made from the drapes and the rod was still left in the shoulders. Oh my gosh...I loved that one, and the one where Tim Conway played the little old guy and he would fall down the stairs in slow motion and then I think he would fall back up the stairs, still in slowmo...it made me LMAO!!!

Hi I used to watch "The Carol Burnett Show" every week when I was a kid. I loved the skits and remember a lot of them. I also remember that "Gone With The Wind" one , it was hilarious.......Debbie wrote: I loved it when Carol Burnett would go sharpen the pencil with the old crank type. , read my post to about my Carol Burnett tape. That skit is on there. It's so funny when "Rhett" tells her how beautiful her gown is and she says, "Thanks. I saw it in the window & just had to have it." Years ago a couple of people told me I reminded them of Carol Burnett; I really treasured that because to me she is the best.
