Guest guest
KC, Good question.....I'm 7 1/2 months post op. I've lost 83 lbs. My common channel is 100 cm. I am 5'5 " , beginning weight was 274. I'm happy with the length. My weight has steadily come off. I have experienced some plateauing. I think alot of it is just my body slowing down to readjust. I have never had any problems with my blood work. So, I seem to absorb plenty of protein, calcium and iron and the rest of whatever we have a tendency to lack. Maybe ADEK or something. I do notice that people with shorter common channels seem to lose faster initially. I don't know about the long term. Hope this helps. Cindy > Dear DSers, > I have asked the question once, but would like to ask again....would > some of you share and tell me the length of your common channel 50cm, 75cm, > 100cm.....can you also share your thoughts on the length of your > channel....how is it working for you? > > K.C. > Bellevue, NE > Pre-op

Guest guest
Cindy, Thanks for your response. Do you mind sharing your goal weight? I'm wondering if patients with a longer common channel experience fewer problems with their blood work? Where are you from and who was your doc? Congratulations on 83 lbs. Are you exercising?
