Guest guest
That's great, Tim!! It seems like only yesterday when you were recovering from your first round of plastics...and I was at 246 lbs. going under the knife for my surgery. Now i'm down to 161 (85 lbs, plus 26 lbs. post...so 101 lbs. lost!). Not sure if I'll need plastics, but I'm not thrilled with the inner thighs. I'm going to give it some more time and exercise. I'm really happy for you. This has been a long journey for you...you've lost extra weight, extra skin, your "man boobies"...and you've gained 120 lbs. or so of a firecracker. (Miss Martha). What a journey! I'm proud of you, and thrilled for you. (They have four adult beds, for post-op overflow.) It was perfect for a big kid like me. Best care anywhere. If I ever have to be hospitalized in Walnut Creek again, I'm going to beg to be put in pediatrics! I was up and walking the halls later that night. No pain, and except for feeling like I was wearing a flak jacket (I'm padded and bound from shoulders to waist.) no discomfort. The recovery from this round is certainly much better than the first, when I had my abdominoplasty and panniculectomy together! Hope the holiday season finds you all well and happy, and a special welcome to all the newbies!Uncle Timmy -
Guest guest
Hi Uncle Timmy, Glad to hear that you are doing so well. How long until you can get rid of that " flak jacket " and check out the new you? I well remember that sort of anticipation and curiosity. I just had my upper body work done a little over 2 months ago. I hope you are as pleased with your results as I am with mine. BTW Are you still attending the SSF meetings? I haven't been there in some months, but would like to start attending again once I'm cleared to drive after this next surgery. It would be great to see the pared down version of you. All the best to you and your private nurse, Kay (in San Leandro) Open RNY 12/1/03 Uncle Timmy wrote: > Hey guys, it's been a long time! > I had my second round of reconstructive surgery (chest work this time) > last Tuesday, and got my drains out today.
