Guest guest
It is just wierd that i find my symptoms are very similar to his. I started last year. He started since 03. I just can't figure it out really, he had an allergy test and is not allergic to anything but grass pollen, yet it isn't the season for it so the dr. thought that that didnt have anything to do w/ his symptoms. She thinks the pulmonologist will do a bronchial scope, dont know what that is. I am just worried that all his recurrent pneumonias, frequent antibiotics cause of ears and pneumonias, will do their damage. ilikemonstertrucks wrote: I myself have atypical 'cough varient' asthma... my tests all show that i have asthma (methacholine challenge test, xrays, pulmonary function, etc), but I have never had a 'typical' attack in my life... instead if I get a cold, or virus, or even just run down, my breathing gets raspy... i have never actually wheezed, but if i dont catch things early, it will always turn into bronchitis... hasnt shown too much of this tendancy, although whenever he gets sick, he winds up with croup... so far its been pretty easily controlled with humidifiers, corn syrup (loosens up secretions) and cool air... so were hoping he doesnt develope whatever i have... I dont know if theres a connection to mito or if its just a coincidence though...> > > I have a question are there any part of mito/fod's that have genetic lung conditions. Both zachs and my breathing patterns are very similar, we each get a cold it turns into pneumonia or bronchitis, followed by bronchial spasms/ prolonged asthma complications. worries me that i read w/ frequent pneumonia will damage the lungs. I am wondering if anyone knows what can be done. We see a pulmonologist and if they come up w/ anything i'm gonna ask my dr. about it. In the past few years i have been raspy breather myself due to sinus flare ups. I just wonder if theres a connection between these and the mito/fod's .> > mom to zach 4, ga2 alexis soon to be 6 > > > __________________________________________________>
