Guest guest
Thank you so much for returning to this group. You are so very special to Randy and I. A little update....to catch you up.... Randy had his surgery on August 2, He has lost close to 90 pounds, 8 inches in his pants size (and before the 46's were under the gut, not the 38's are up on his waist!)He has gone from a snug 3X shirt to a loose XL shirt! But more importantly he is so HEALTHY!!!! No more blood pressure , cholesterol, many of the diabetic pills, and no more insulin! He is still diabetic and so he does take actos and glucaphage (2 actos and one glucaphage instead of three actos and four glucaphage!!)He is down from 27 pills a day and insulin to three pills a day and no insulin!! Life is great! My surgery has become a soap opera! My dates have been shuffled more than an old deck of cards! On November 30th I was in the surgery holding room, hooked up to the IV, medicated, dressed in the sexy panty hose and gown they provide....and after 6 hours I got the boot....an emergency came up. So they rescheduled to December 20, my birthday, then they rescheduled it again to the 13th, next week. Wouldn't you know it? Now I have some creeping crud virus or infection! I've been off work since Monday, on antibiotics, motrin, and decongestant....so anesthesia won't touch me until JANUARY 3!!!! I go back to my doc today to see if this has developed into a sinus infection...I can't shake the fever. I think all the changes and stress have worn me down physically. I know my emotions are on their last ragged edge! Oh well, enough of my worries. I'm so glad to see you here! Take good care of yourself! Hugs!!!! Guest guest
Sue: Great to hear about Randy, but I'm sorry to hear that you're in a virtual gastric bypass nightmare. Yikes. I'm sending positive thoughts your way. I know it seems like a plan gone bad, but soon it will be but a memory, and you'll be on your way to a new life. Hang in there.
