Farmworker Health Services, Inc. is accepting submissions for the

2008 edition of the Innovative Outreach Practices Report.

The Innovative Outreach Practices Report is distributed nationally to

a variety of health organizations that serve farmworkers. The

purpose of the report is to outline successful outreach practices

that can be implemented or adapted by other programs.

All Migrant/Community Health Centers and Migrant Voucher Programs

that submit an innovative outreach practice will also be considered

for the Sister Cecilia B. Abhold Award for demonstrating innovation

while serving migrant and seasonal farmworkers.

The recipient of the Sister Cecilia B. Abhold Award receives:

o $200 to be used for health education materials of their

choice to further their outstanding efforts serving migrant and

seasonal farmworkers.

o An award plaque to be displayed in their organization.

o Exposure among peers at their respective Stream Forums.

Highlights about their innovative outreach practice will be shared

with the audience during the award presentation.

o A letter of recognition from FHSI describing the highlights

of the organization's exemplary outreach efforts and persistent

commitment to migrant and seasonal farmworkers.

o A feature in FHSI's annual publication, the Innovative

Outreach Practices Report, and recognition within FHSI's OutReach

newsletter and website, www.farmworkerhealth.org.

Applications will be accepted until Friday, September 7, 2007.

The submission form will be uploaded to the list serv's electronic

files today or you can also apply online at
