Guest guest
Someone on another list reported that Hazem Elariny, one of the few BPD/DS surgeons in the Washington-Baltimore area, intends to start charging a program fee due to his dissatisfaction with the reimbursements he gets from the insurance companies. Another woman replied that she had contacted Elariny's office and had been told that he does intend to start charging a program fee, but has decided to impose it only on Medicare patients. Does anyone know whether there are any restrictions in regulations and/or contracts on the charging of such a fee by physicians who accept Medicare?
