Guest guest
, Just saw your post and am considering changing health insurance companies. We paid Dr. Ponseti ourselves because our insurance wouldn't cover out of state. What's your insurance plan (if you don't mind my asking!)? -- Pamela Karydas > I know some people have had experience both ways. Our insurance company is pretty good about anything. We have a program that if the doctor is in it, then it doesn't matter where they are located in the US. It is the same as instate doctors. Others have had more negative experiences. I would contact your insurance and see what they say. > > > > how are these dr.s paid? > > This might seem like a strange question but when people go to see > Dr. Ponseti or dr.s in other states are they paying out of pocket or > through insurance? > Because Dr. Ponseti does not specifically recommend any Dr.s in Utah > we may have to travel back to CA for continued care and it will > probably be outside of our insurance group plan. Guest guest
Thanks for you quick reply. Too bad for us, that we're not government employees. We have BC/BS now and we only have out of state benefits if it's an emergency. Oh well... Pamela > > I know some people have had experience both ways. Guest guest
Pamela, It is Anthem Blue Cross/ Blue Shield Federal. I know for this exact program you have to be a government employee, but BC/BS has other programs that might offer the same benefits. HTH, how are these dr.s paid? > > This might seem like a strange question but when people go to see > Dr. Ponseti or dr.s in other states are they paying out of pocket or > through insurance? > Because Dr. Ponseti does not specifically recommend any Dr.s in Utah > we may have to travel back to CA for continued care and it will > probably be outside of our insurance group plan.
