I see a chiropractor 3 x's a week due to injuries I suffered in a car accident

the end of April. My weight has been a issue a few times, i.e. I'm to heavy for

the automatic chiropractor bed. My recovery is taking longer due to my weight.

My feet, particularly the arch of my feet, no long work properly at keeping my

spine in alignment. A back belt was special ordered, due to my weight and size,

over three months ago and it still hasn't come in. Each time the chiropractor

was polite about the issue. When I tried to explain to the chiropractor that I

had planed to have " weight loss surgery " over the summer, but had to postpone

the surgery because of the car accident, he asked me what do you mean by " weight

loss surgery...liposuction? " What a laugh I got when he thought I meant

liposuction as a form of weight loss surgery! Then, he started to question me

if I was able to lose weight on my own in the past. I said sure I've tried it

all, but I have never been able to keep it off. His next suggestion was to lose

the weight, THEN have the surgery done to keep it off. Again, I wanted to laugh

at his seemingly absurd way of looking at this! I told him one of the

criteria's for surgery was that the patient has to be a minimum of 100 lbs

overweight.
