We have had to learn to live a quieter life. When the kiddo is sick

there is not much fun in socializing. Taking extra breaks, coming to

a party later, leaving earlier and getting together with smaller

groups can help the crashes. The kids want to do everything to the

point they get sick. We just schedule less and try to keep them from

overtiredness.

The only thing they told us about aspirating to stop it is to stop

taking in food or liquid by mouth. (Billy has a button now for tube

feeds). The first thing that goes is the ability to swallow

water/thin liquids. That is why they prescribe Thick-it and its

cousins. The next hardest thing to swallow is fruit. The juice and

plup have to be handled differenty by the throat. Can you avoid these

things and see if it helps?
