Guest guest
Hi all I just wanted to warn all the newly post ops about the hybernation syndrome. It hits about 4 weeks post op. Your body finally realizes that you did something drastic to it and holds onto everything. It lasts a couple of weeks and then you will have a major drop. It happened to me and I completely lost it at a post op class. It was our dear Eleanor who pulled me through it as I sobbed at that class thinking I was a failure and that even WLS wasnt going to work for me. I was scared to death because no one had mentioned it so I wasnt prepared for it. If you are going through that faze....know that it wont last, there is hope and you will start losing.
