I would to see some of your quilts. Got pictures? I am working on wall hangings right now for my 2 new great nieces. I wrote a poem for each of them and am putting it on a quilted wall hanging. I hope they turn out good. First time I have done anything like this.

I will try and show you when I am finished.

Doing the crafts really does help with handling the NS. It not only keeps me busy but makes me feel like I have something to offer. I was a very busy CNA right up till I became one of the chosen.

Jackie,

Well, I quilt most of the time. It kind of took over. I have always had my hand involved with something ever since I learned to crochet as a child. I still do crochet, knit some, and some cross-stitch. But, quilting is my obsession. I feel as though I can paint with fabric and usually have at least 4 or 5 quilts going at one time.

I also feel that it helps with my hands and pain to keep them limber and moving. Coordination a problem for you??? I know it is for some. I do have problems sometimes, usually when I'm trying to pick things up or put things away.

I think it's great that you have so many presents made already. Kind of put me to shame here!! Gotta get crackin'. Bonnie b

PS, Oh yeah, I do some bead work too. and make pocketbooks..im sure there's more...

Bonnie, You are lucky to be able to all these crafts. I envy you. I have a problems with tremors, my hands shake and I have a problem keeping them straight. I tried to cross stitch, but I got so aggravated , I threw it down and stuck it away!!! LOL I bet you do some wonderful work. My substitute for passing the time and keeping busy is reading. I love books and it doesn't make any difference if I shake or not!!! Good job. Debbie Co-Moderatorjackie wrote: I would to see some of your quilts. Got pictures? yeah Debbie, I know how lucky I am cause there are times when I can't do these things that keep me sane. My hands don't shake, but sometimes hurt a great deal and also, I have trouble with coordination/ lack of feeling. So, yeah, I am in good place right now (no jinx, no jinx!!) and loving every minute of it. My friend Irene, who I have known since I was 2 yrs. old, says I'm in pretty good shape for all that's wrong with me!! I take that as a compliment.

I also love to read and thank God have a great public library near me. What kind of books do you like?? Bonnie BSee what's new at AOL.com and Make AOL Your Homepage.

I like just about anything! Jodi Picolt is one of my favorites. Mostly fiction and a little bit of bit of historical fiction. Mysteries I don't really go for. I don't have any "certain favorite authors, because I read so many. I get "first dibs" on anything new since I work a couple hours a week in the library. That's fun!
