Guest guest
That is what the Foundation is for. But every time I bring up an offer of help, it isn't accepted. www.pediatric-orthopedic-foundation.org

Guest guest
Well , Youve got my help as long as it will directly help the people on this site.......or at least people we know really need it. Im sorry for not paying attention before but recently with people HERE needing help and I see so much effort being put into helping others......wether its storm victims, essays, trying to get the word out.....trying to get on tv it made me wonder why this effort was not being into helping people here that may not directly ASK for help but that could obviously benefit from help. I would be willing to send money each month to your foundation.....wether it was just $5.00 a month or more........anything helps I know and I personally want to do something. > That is what the Foundation is for. Guest guest
Thanks . If anyone is curious about the legalities of the foundation check this link. http://www.sunbiz.org/scripts/cornamelis.exe. I also have a pediatric orthopedic surgeon on my board. Dr. Brett in Ft. Myers, Florida. The problem is this... I have been personally funding the foundation for 2 years. I need to obtain donations to help. I have the legal stuff done. Let's take it national, I am willing to help anyone that needs it. Don't forget... I was born with bilateral clubfoot and I have 2 daughters born with bilateral clubfoot. It is my heart and soul to help. www.pediatric-orthopedic-foundation.org tracybolcato@...
Guest guest
Well said! You're right. I would mention though that those that can't afford to buy 's outright only need to contact Ponseti or . There is a fund that pays for those that both really need them and really can't afford them. boothejennifer wrote:I have been having alot of thoughts lately about this and am a bit puzzled. Why isn't there anything here to help people that we have come to know over the years?? I know a few....I mean VERY FEW offers of shoes, bars etc........but what about other stuff??? I know alot of us donate directly to Dr Ponseti or write essays and letters.....that is all AWESOME!! But why can't we all pitch in to help our " friends " on this board when they need help?? There are so many of us here. There are so many that need things that they cannot afford. I am NOT rich in any way shape or form.........in fact my kids probably qualify for free lunches at school.......yet if I knew it meant helping someone I would pay what I could to help. Its just money versus a child suffering. Here is what I think should be done to help out. Why can't we set up something and take " donations " $5.00 from each member that wanted to give........could be set up to help a family on this site in need of new shoes that insurance won't pay for. Or to help get a child to Iowa. We are all quick to advise families to " go to Iowa " . What if people that don't use their free airmiles could all donate them to someone here in need?? Please lets talk about setting up something on this site to help ourselves. I know it would be a pain, hassle, extra effort but I think it would be well worth it in the end. Hopefully no one takes offense to this message, its just an idea. , Mommy to Grace
Guest guest
I 'll speak to my husband as I no longer bring home a pay check... wrote:Thanks . Guest guest
I am not looking at all for donations from people on this board... It would be nice to get a major corporation or something of that nature to help fund the foundation and the parents and children that I want to serve. Guest guest
I just wanted to let you know that I did write you (e-mail) your foundation, looking for help to help us with the costs to get to Iowa or the appoinment, but it was my understanding things were slow and you couldn't offer any finacial help. I was suprised to read that your wrote help has been offered but not accepted. We would deffianlty accept help if your able to, I remmeber e-mailing you privately a while back at your foundation. Our insurance company won't pay for the visit, we are paying out of pocket at least the 1st $1,000 dollar then they will cover 70%. Guest guest
, Yes you did and no, we don't have the money. But if the word could get out, to corporations, private individuals, etc. Perhaps the foundation could be in a position to help. I, myself have put over 5000.00 into this out of my own pocket. Very very happy to do it, but I am in no financial position to continue to do it. I myself, have struggled financially with treating my kids with clubfoot. What I have been doing off this board, is attending tenotomies with parents who are in distress, etc. Sitting in hospitals with sick kids.... Other than club foot as well. I have sat many long hours in a PICU at a local hospital with a 13 year old girl that was paralyzed from Scoliosis. Her 4 year old brother was hit and killed by a car 4 months later. So at least I am helping people right now, emotionally and volunteering alot of my time. I wouldn't have it any other way. I do work a full time job outside of the foundationa and have 2 young girls and 2 older step kids. I am sorry I couldn't help you. If I had the money personally to have given you, believe me I would have and have to other parents in my local area. My ultimate goal is to never have another parent worry about how they are going to pay for the cost of their babies treatment.
