Guest guest
Hi everyone, First of all, I want to say a big THANK YOU to each and every one of you for the prayers, emails, and well wishes concerning my new grandbaby. I am very proud to say she was born October 11, 2007, weighed 4 lbs 10 oz and is 19 inches long. Her name is Danica Jolene. As most of you might remember, we had several scares with her....... the parents have the RH problem; the baby had a hole in its heart (which the Doc says is healed now); and then preclampsia..........my daughter- in-law spent the last two weeks in the hospital as the Doc was trying to hold off the baby until 36 weeks and she did! So, praise God, the baby seems to be fine, just terribly small and a month early! At first, they said the baby would have to stay at the hospital until she was 5 lbs, but she did so well that they let her come home yesterday with Mommy and she only weighs 4 lb and 7 oz now..............I was there during the birth and the minute she was born, those big eyes opened and she was awake all day! Nurses could not believe how alert she was; and the fact that she does not look like a newborn, let alone a preemie! I used to wonder if the hats I made for preemies were way too small, but now I KNOW they are not since I have a preemie now...........:-) Again, THANK YOU for all the prayers and well wishes.......I knew they would work!!!!! Praise God..... Lots of hugs, Darlene NS Co-Owner/Moderator
