Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for your reply. No, Natasha's nipples are not bleeding. They were bleeding two weeks ago and at that stage the babies motions were black (there was no vomiting of blood though) but they have healed. This was the first thing we checked for. . RE: Baby vomiting blood Yes I have acutally had this happen. While it is very frightening it is usually nothing to worry about. Commonly (especially if this is her first baby) the nipples get cracked and bleed as the baby sucks. There usually is some nipple tenderness, but I have also experienced this with no pain. I am currently nursing my fourth baby (he is three months old now) and had the same problem without pain. I really don't think it was an infection causing it, just the hard suck on a sensitive area caused the bleeding. The problem went away in a week or so and I have not noticed it since. A little tip: I would reccomend her putting a burp cloth or a bib on the baby while eating. With I bleed so much that his t shirts were getting blood stains on them (not too cute!)
