Guest guest
He's probably fine. Just keep an eye on it, but don't worry too much. Pretty good chance he's just fine and until you see some kind of change you should assume nothing has. Great thing about moms is that they notice these kinds of things before anyone else does... which can be good and bad lol! Just tell Grandma that he'll really cry if she takes his shoes off and his feet relapse and has to start all over in casts. And she doesn't want that to happen so she should leave them on unless you tell her to take them off. He gets to be mad that the brace is on, that's ok. Unless he's crying constantly and it's a pained cry that tells you he's hurting... he's just mad. Those shoes have not shown to cause problems in infants fresh out of casts. Just make sure the leather isn't being bunched up under the straps and that the center strap is very tight so he doesn't slip in them. Also, check the insole to make sure it isn't folded under one side of his soles (I've done that at least twice since we got these and didn't notice for a few hours). The leather will get softer, and stretch. These shoes are very soft and should not be bothering him at all after a week or so (less most likely). The bar itself may bother him, that his feet are tied together and his legs may still be sensitive (use a firm touch, don't carress). But the shoes themselves aren't known to do this. He should be happy soon. Maybe he just doesn't like grandma? <kidding!> Kori At 10:09 PM 9/11/2005, you wrote: >Hi everyone I have a question. Guest guest
Don't freak out, I really doubt 5 or 6 hours did any damage, but don't make a habit of it and tell your Mom to toughen up! haha s. relaps question Hi everyone I have a question. Noah just got his last cast off on tuesday the 6th, he went right into his P/M's and has been in them pretty faithfully ever since, except yesterday my Mom watched him and he cried so she assumed it was the shoes he was crying over and trying to be the good grandma she took his shoes off and they were ff for about 5 hours. I am worried because he has only been out of his cast less than a week and I am afraid it may have made his foot relaps. It looks the same but maybe inside something happened. Am I crazy for worrying? have you heard of a foot relapsing in that short amount of time? And so soon after being out of a cast? If anyone has any advice I would appriciate it.
