I first heard about this a year or so ago & entered the numbers of my kids under ICE1,2 & 3. Many emergency systems are encouraging this simple action. Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored but which one is thecontact person in case of an emergency? Hence this " ICE" (In Case ofEmergency) CampaignThe concept of "ICE" is catching on quickly. It is a method of contactduring emergency situations. As cell phones are carried by themajority of the population, all you need to do is store the number ofa contact person or persons who should be contacted during emergencyunder the name "ICE" ( In Case Of Emergency). The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when he went tothe scenes of accidents, there were always mobile phones withpatients, but they didn't know which number to call. He thereforethought that it would be a good idea if there was a nationallyrecognized name for this purpose. In an emergency situation, EmergencyService personnel and hospital Staff would be able to quickly contactthe right person by simply dialing the number you have stored as "ICE".Please forward this. It won't take too many "forwards" beforeeverybody will know about this . It really could save your life, orput a loved one's mind at rest .For more than one contact name simply enter ICE1, ICE2 and ICE3 etc.Be sure it's in your kid's cell phones also.....A great idea that will make a difference!Let's spread the concept of ICE by storing an ICE number in our Mobilephones today ! When I entered the info under contacts I made it emergency in case of so that someone looking at the contact list would see this as my emergency contact list. I also included the phone numbers of my kids at work and home under the various sections of the contact information. Help yourself to FREE treats served up daily at the Messenger Café. Stop by today!
