I have a question for all of you.

What is Kaiser telling all of you regarding eating post-op? I can't

remember where I saw it, but someone said that they were eating canned

fruit. Is that one of the stages?

I remember that I was told not to eat canned fruit or any fruit during

the first couple of stages (and even now 2.5 years post-op).

Is that now in the post-op guidelines? Or it is still protein,

protein, protein?

Just wondering.

Hi Francisco!

It is allowed as of Stage 3.

They do say to eat your protein first, but it is on the list of allowed foods.

Francisco It is suppose to be protein, protein, protein, but the nutritionist says people get tired of just the protein so once in a while it is okay to have some fruit or veggies as long as 75% of the meal is protein. They change things trying to make it so people won't go to other things. I am almost 9 months post op now, and fruits still don't work with me, and only a few veggies, so I mainly stick to all protein and I do believe that has really helped me get to goal so fast. Take care. Donnamanisodream wrote: Recent post-ops:I have a question for all of you. What is Kaiser telling all of you regarding eating post-op?
