Guest guest
Nick.. I am a surgical RN.. I know the complications of surgery.. part of my job is explaining these complications to my patients preop. I don't know why (or if)Larry did not have greenfield filters put in.. but since we don't have access to his chart, we will never know. That option might have been offered, and turned down. I don't know. But I do know that Larry could have thrown a clot and stroked out without this surgery. Another thing; greenfield filters are also not 100%.. how do we know he didn't have one? We don't. I doubt we ever will. I was not trying to absolve Dr. Husted.. I was trying to make the point that surgical risks are higer in some cases.. and are not exclusive to weight loss surgeries. Will Larry make these people now fearful of WLS refuse to have children, coronary bypass, or knee replacements? Doubtful. But the risks are the same. That was my point. Hugs, Liane > > Ok..
