Guest guest
I got home a couple hours ago. I'm sore and whiny. I think I already blew it, Randy made me some vanilla chai tea, and we didn't realize it had caffine! DAMN! My heart is racing and I'm fussy. Today is our baby Joee's 18th birthday,he is wrestling tonight and at a tournament tomorrow and Saturday. I stayed home in my flannel ducky pj's by the fire and in Randy's cozy chair. Great story! Last night when Randy tucked me in, he wedding ring slipped off and got tangled in my bedcovers. He didn't realize it until he was on the way home. We looked and looked and figured it might have slipped off his hand in the parking lot or somewhere else. I mentioned it to the nurse as we were leaving and they called with the news that they had found it!!!!!! The nurse is mailing it back to us! I don't go back to UCLA for three weeks but I will find something to send up to her when I go for my doctor visit. I was the first wls sugery of the new year! I guess it went quick, but I was a long time in recovery, I don't know why, I remember being restrained at the wrist and being told to breathe, my O2 wasn't right. The rest of the time was me being whiny and fussy. My IV quit working and my hand is very swollen and sore. My bed was lumpy (even before the ring) so once I got an air mattress things were better. My drain bottle came off the hose and doused me, the nurse and the whole bathroom, that was gross! She had such pretty purple scrubs too, she took a shower and wore greens the rest of the night. The shower was cold, I got chilled and fussy after that too. The beef broth was too salty, the chicken broth was great. The nurses and my doctors were awesome!!!!!! A couple remembered Randy and were shocked when they saw him! They were his nurses and asked me about him, then they couldn't believe it when he walked in. I came home a day earlier that expected. The doc told me I could go to see Joee wrestle....my bra was too tight so I stayed home...I guess he wouldn't know about a tight bra after surgery. Thank you for all your love, prayers, candles, and hugs....I felt every single one! Take good care! Hugs, Sue in Palmdale BTW...Randy has lost 100 pounds!!!! Whooooo Hooooo!!!!! Guest guest
Sue, Congratulations and welcome to the other side!!!! It is ok to be whiny.....I know I was. I don't get many opportunities to be whiny and pampered. We got a suggestion to bring a bra 2 sizes larger for the trip home, I just opted to not wear one. Even when I went out right after surgery, my bra bothered me. It rubbed right on the staples. I only wore one when I had to. It wasn't too bad after the staples were removed. I had my surgery on 9/28/05 and have lost 41.5lbs. since surgery and 65 total. It all only gets better everyday!!!! Congratulations again......take care of yourself. Patty Riverside p.s. Congrats to Randy too! 100lbs is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!sue mendez wrote: I got home a couple hours ago. I'm sore and whiny.
