Guest guest
Hey Guys, I have been reading allof the posts about the hp parking, people not being able to tell that you are sick because you look so good, etc. Here in VA, I think we have too many handicapped people and too few parking spaces. Like a lot of you, I don't use the space if I am feeling pretty good but I am not sure all people are the same. I try not to judge but boy do I get mad when there are no spaces and Joe Blow comes running out of the store and jumps in his SUV he parked in the HP spot. (sometimes it is Jane Blow). As far as people helping me, I didn't realize how much worse I had gotten at walking until I went to Richmond last weekend for a baby shower. There were lots of steps in this old Richmond house, stepping stones in the garden, etc. Everyone was wonderful; can I help you up the stairs, can I help you down the stairs, can I carry your plate for you? At home, everyone watches me fumble, stumble and drop stuff and they don't offer anything. I guess they are just used to my disability but the genuine kindness that was extended was so wonderful! Well, I have a boobie squeeze at 2:30, so I must go get ready. Ladies, don't forget, even with all of our other issues, we must have our mammograms! And gents, don't you forget your prostate and the other important parts of yourself. My therapist just dodged the testicular cancer monster last year. Get your check ups. Love to all Terri G.
