Guest guest
Hi Som, I wanted to reply to you but didn't get time. Don't worry about any post or issue being too small. We have all had questions about things that aren't huge emergencies... it's all part of this journey. So don't worry about posting something if it seems small, it's not. But what you described... I had to laugh because I always felt like my child was weird because she never slept like that! I can't tell you how many parents say their babies sleep with the bar at their heads. It's so cute! You'll probably want to pad the bar for many reasons, but a piece of pipe foam taped onto the bar (we use black athletic tape - cloth tape) can sure protect a lot of things from that metal... one of the main things baby's head and your hips! You can make it pretty with a piece of material hot glued to the pipe foam. When it gets dirty just throw it away and make a new one. If you want to see some examples of bar padding, email me or join the CFPics yahoo group and there is a photo library with a folder that has various bar pads to look at. Hope this helps! And Welcome! I look forward to seeing you post all about your experiences. Kori At 08:53 PM 9/14/2005, you wrote: >Thank you for all your advises. Guest guest
It seems like you got your question replied to but I just wanted to add that my son, now 14 month old, used to pull his feet up to his head so often that his stomach muscles got so strong he would end up pulling himself up, sleeping sitting up without knowing it. So we padded, actually his Dr. padded it with a thick wrap and put gauze around it and I had him sleep in a pack & play next to my bed. I would wake up several times during the night to lay him back down or pull his feet down. He finally got to the point where he turned over each time I layed him down and sleept on his stomach (around your sons age, maybe a bit older). He sleeps better and does not have any where to move his feet. Good Luck! Stacie flyingpig2351 wrote: Thank you for all your advises.
