This too will go away when my Prozac kicks in and I stop feeling sorry for my self.

LOL! Wouldn't it be awesome if it was just gonna take the Prozac to kick in-- oh my...

It is all good-- we just have to look under every rock and stone somedays to see that it is all good!

Still LOL!

I have read But you don't look sick and I am sorry if I offended you. You are right of course there are those who at the time may be in a kind of remission or something like that. However I have seen those who don't need the card. Yes they are using grannies card, who died 3 months ago, or their sisters card who isn't with them at the time. It is true that I don't know all these people but I have seen the abuse of the system with people I am familiar with. They just laugh like it is a big game. I am sorry if I sound tainted I am. I would give anything not to have to need one of those so I get a bit obsessed. If I was out of line I am sorry but I still have a lot of anger in me because of the things I can not do anymore. I still get in the "why me" and "it's not fair" way of thinking and need a good kick in the back side. Thank you for shaking me up.

Jackie,

YOu are doing the same thing that so many people do to those that have the card. Now, granted, sometimes someone will be using Grannies card-- but most often not.

I don't look at all like I should need one. Now that I'm not on oxygen 24/7-- you don't see any outward signs that I'm disabled. Yeah, I walk like my back is so stiff I'm in pain-- but other than that-- I LOOK FINE!!

I had someone actually ask why I thought I should be able to use the placard-- and I had just finished with my Remicade infusion. I looked at them, said hey, if you want my illness, you can have my parking placard. The look that came back was brutal-- so I added, you know, I just finished a 3hr chemo infusion, and I'd love to puke on your shoes. Would that prove to you that I need the placard? They didn't know what to say-- and I went in and got my groceries and then home-- where I don't have to put up with those that don't have a clue.

Not everyone looks sick-- and they may need the placard.

Do read "But YOU DON'T LOOK SICK" IT'S A REAL LESSON ON LIFE.

Take care,

I am from Mauston, Dells area.

Jackie thank you for responding

[sPAM]Re: [sPAM] Re:FW: question about handicap parking

I use to see people utilizing the handicap spaces that were not handicapped. But, I do not see it happening much in the last year and I live in the suburbs of Milwaukee. Both in the suburbs and Milwaukee proper, . I think they have been cracking down here and ticketing people. I have also seen that they have added a lot more handicap spaces and they are usually not filled up when I go shopping at 5 pm when I get out of work which is a good thing.

I also use a handicap placard that my very first pulmonary doctor gave me when I asked for it. I could barely walk back then. Now, I can walk most days, some days, maybe a mile. I have worked very hard to regain some of my lost abilities. That being said, I still have days when I can not function and walk well. I use my handicap card then.

One night, I was out with some friends for coffee and was using my placard. When I was leaving my parking spot, I took my placard down and put it behind my sunvisor. A cop came up behind me in the parking lot and put his lights on and stopped me. He asked for my handicapped registration, which I provided him. He then asked why I took my placard off my rear view mirror, to which I replied, read the back of the placard. You are not supposed to drive with them hanging, they block your view. He didn't know this. Many people don't. My vision is poor in one eye from sarc attacking it, so I need all the help I can get seeing. Anyway, then he's asking me what's wrong with me. So, I told him I have ms cause really, no one has ever heard of ns. Next thing I know, he's hitting on me and you could have knocked me over with a feather!!!
