Guest guest
Hi everyone I have a big problem and or Dr Ponseti wont get their message until its too late. My son's right shoe broke today. The rubber part right by the heal where that hole is just broke, I dont know how I just noticed Noah's foot bending sideways and the rubber part was still facing up so I took them off and sure enough it was broke. My problem is I'm taking Noah to see his Daddy overseas tomarrow for a who month. The tickets are non transferable or refundable, I cant cancel his dad has never even seen him I dont know what to do. It is his right foot whick is not club but its very uncomfortable for him because there is no support to hold his foot in place and if you look at his leg its like bent and the foot goes sidways. its hard to explain but it doesnt look right and I dont want that foot to have a problem. I really dont know what to do, has anyone had a P/M brake on them before? Please help!!! Thanks. & Noah 03/20/05 LCF P/M's 23/

Guest guest
I cant visualize where the brace is broke, but some suggestions: Duct Tape (around the outside) to hold the foot in place (or something else similar) AND Find the nearest shoe repairman or someone who works with plastic when you get there to fix the shoe. YOu are going to have to be resourceful, but also know that if all else fails, he can be recasted when you come home. Where are you going? There may be a doc nearby who could help you out with holding correction until you can take care of the problem Angel Caitlen 8/29/97 Arica 8/22/01 Kai 12/31/02 ----Original Message Follows---- Reply-To: nosurgery4clubfoot To: nosurgery4clubfoot Subject: P/M's broke after only 10 days!!! Guest guest
Hi Angel hanks for such a quick responce. If you have the P/M's you can know where I am talking about. There is a rubber inside and at the heal there is 2 holes on either side, well the hole on the left just ripped all the way across so on the left side now it is completly ripped and there is no support then over that there is leather but that doesnt give any support. The leather is covering it so I dont think I could duck tape it. I am going to Jordan and I dont think there will be many repair type places, they dont have much of anything. I was talking to a lady who is also in this group about a month ago from Jordan and I believe she brought her son here for treatment so I doubt there is any doctors there who know anything about this or she would not have traveled so far for her son. I dont know what to do. Thanks for the advise. Guest guest
, That's very interesting because it sounds similar to what happened to Darbi's new shoes just last week. I'm not exactly picturing what you're talking about, but all you have to do is call at and tell him what happened and he will mail you a new pair as soon as he can. He may have that size in stock and could get it to you by Tuesday, wherever you are. That's his home number, but don't worry about calling it as this is an emergency and they're happy to be of help whenever it's needed. You can talk to his wife Jeanne if he's not there. Guest guest
Tape it from the inside. Use Duct Tape specifically as it is the stickiest. You might have to work with it a bit, and it may take more than one layer, but it should work. The yellow stuff isnt real tough, so the duct tape should be strong enough to give support. You might also try to see about fashioning something to go on the outside - between the leather and the plastic - to add some support. Something like a semi-rigid plastic may work. Also, if you husband is military, there should be some pretty resourceful people around willing to help out =) Angel Caitlen 8/29/97 Arica 8/22/01 Kai 12/31/02 ----Original Message Follows---- Reply-To: nosurgery4clubfoot To: nosurgery4clubfoot Subject: RE: P/M's broke after only 10 days!!! Guest guest
Oh thanks Kori thats great because I was worried I would'nt beable to talk to him at all because I leave tomarrow and I will be out of the country and its hard to call theres a big delay and its not clear. I dont know if he will ship the shoe way to Jordan but maybe if I offer to pay extra or something hopefully he will. I will call first thing tomarrow thats great thanks again. & Noah 03/20/05 LCF P/M's 23/7 frogabog wrote: , That's very interesting because it sounds similar to what happened to Darbi's new shoes just last week. I'm not exactly picturing what you're talking about, but all you have to do is call at and tell him what happened and he will mail you a new pair as soon as he can. He may have that size in stock and could get it to you by Tuesday, wherever you are. Guest guest
Is it the yellow part that broke? The black hard plastic part broke on our pair once. DH used a 2 part epoxy to mend it. Good luck with this, sorry the timing is so bad! s. P/M's broke after only 10 days!!!
