Guest guest
That's all good news Kim!!!! s. Update on Maddie, we saw Dr. Herzenberg Hi all~ I just wanted to provide a quick update on Maddie. We saw Dr. Herzenberg for the first time on Friday. For those that do not know, Maddie is 3 months and we had been seeing another doctor. I am happy to say that right now it does not seem like she will have to be re-casted. But, Dr. H. made some modifications, we are now using the straight last shoe vs. reverse and went to an 8 inch bar. Our former Dr. had us at a 50 degree rotation, so we are going to slowly increase the rotation to 70. He still wants to do some x- rays next Friday to ensure that we are headed in the right direction. Dr. H. did tell me that her hips are very stiff, so he is going to x- ray her hips also. The PT gave us some exercises to do in the meantime. Out former Dr never said anything about her hips, yet her checked them the same way. So, now we wait until next Friday to get the results of her xrays. She is still not comfortable in the bar while she sleeps, but only woke up twice last night :) I am sure that she will get used to it and start sleeping through the night again (I hope!!!). I want to thank Michele Yoder... she was really the force behind me getting a second opinion and let me know about Dr. Herzenberg. It was also great to meet and Marcy!!! Please keep in touch! Thanks for all of the support. Kim

Guest guest
Whew! That's great news Kim. No recasts. You mentioned you switched to an 8 " bar. What was it before? I really hope everything works out okay with her hips. Did he say what it meant when the hips are tight? Good luck next Friday. I hope all turns out well. It was great to meet you too.
