Hi everyone,

I was telling a few of the moms here at RMH that I was looking into

getting info to Dr. Phil about the great works of Dr. Ponseti and

they told me that the group had nominated him for the 3 wishes show.

I told them I hadn't logged onto this sight since right before I

first came out so I had no idea. is quite impatient when it

comes to me being on the computer. I'm wondering if the letter

hasn't been sent yet if there is any way 's little info could

be included. It is so important to me for him to know how much we

appreciate him. The letter is absolutely incredible and really sums

up the essence of who and what he is all about. All of yo who worked

on it did an incredible job. I don't want to step on anyone's toes

and this sounds like a good way to recognize him and help his cause

out. Since and I are kind of long timers at the RMH we have

heard so many amazing stories and that's the thing all of us have a

story. It is just mind boggling to me how many doctor's are claiming

to do the Ponseti method and they are deviating from it and the

children are paying the price.

I am curious how the group feels about me contacting the Dr. Phil

show. I will not do anything till I hear back. The moms I've talked

I think sending something to Dr. Phil is a great idea. I think

anytime anyone wants to promote Dr. Ponseti and his method it is a

great idea.

The three wishes submission has already been sent in but you might

want to consider submitting 's story on your own, a few of the

other parents have done that. We figure the more nominations they get

for Dr. Ponseti the more likely they will be to possibly select him

for the show.

Thank-you for sharing your story Joyce, brought a tear to my eye,

what an amazing journey! You really should forward your beautifully

written letter to the 3 wishes show.

We are so happy for you and ! When you hear something like

this, it really reminds us just how important it is to get the word

Any exposure is a good thing. I'd help any way I could, although my crazy house

is still a mess and I have my super-critical mother-in-law coming. Also my

sister-in-law is coming. She has Down's and mess makes her crazy! So, I've got

my work cut out for me here.

Ditto, ANY publicity for Dr. P is fine with me. The man DESERVES to be

recognized. Without him and his fine work......(shudder).....who knows what we

would all be going through with our precious babies. The man is a saint. What

does the U of I say of all this? Have they even recognized his accomplishments?

There is only ONE doc. in all of Michigan that is practicing Dr. P's methods

(one doc approved by Dr. P)!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only ONE! This past Saturday I was

garage saleing in our neighborhood. A woman came rushing up to me as best she

could and excitedly asked, " Does your baby have clubfeet? " I said, " he has a

clubfoot (left) " She was SO thrilled to see how happy my baby was with

his brace on and to hear of how wonderfully and painfree he has been corrected.

With tears in her eyes she told me of HER story. She was born with bilateral

clubfeet. She said that her feet are all scarred up from all the surgeries

she's had, that she has horrible arithis (sp) in both

feet, and still has horrible memories from the DBB from about age 2 when the

DBB and her doc's were still trying to force her feet out to the angles set on

the bar! I felt so bad for her. She looked to be in her early fifties, late

forties.
