Guest guest
Janice, you can go to www.duodenalswitch.com, the DS information zone and see diagrams of the surgery and many patient profiles. The DS means that you will NEVER have to diet again, but you will have to be 100% compliant with your vitamins. Good luck in your decision. Been there, done that! Guest guest
Hi Janice, welcome to the group. I can totally relate to what you are going through. I have tried every diet out there, and I have lost weight only to gain it back, and then some. By the time I put my foot down and decided that surgery was my only option left, I was 463 lbs. I had surgery in April, and am down 88 lbs. I really do feel much better. For me, having surgery was the best decision I have ever made. It sounds like you are on the right path. While working with a dietician, do lots and lots of research to make sure that surgery is really what you want. I researched for 2 years before I decided. I hope every thing works out for you. If you have any questions feel free to ask.... I am in Cali also, near Sacramento. Where are you from?
