Guest guest
Our son was born with bcf on 9/9/04. He's now at the point where he wears them at night and during naps, but he's at daycare during the day. We haven't been putting him in shoes when he's out of the Markells because it was warm and we could get away with it. Plus, I didn't want to torture him with more shoes. I wanted to give him a break. Now that its getting colder and he's getting ready to walk, I wanted to buy him a pair of shoes, but I wasn't sure if there was something in particular I should look for. Right now, he doesn't walk by himself, just cruises. Has any of your drs recommended either a specific type of shoe or brand?

Guest guest
Hi Our son Josh is now 3.5 yrs old. Our consultant recommended shoes which where a) totally flat inside (no arch support and totally level inside) as straight as possible (some shoes actually turn in a bit at the toe – check this by looking at the soles) and c) good ankle support. We used to buy Elefanten shoes (German shoes), but I’m not sure if you can get them in USA – we live in the UK. Once Josh started walking by himself he wore the shoes for walking outside, but our consultant advised us to let him walk in his bare feet/socks ( inside house) as much as possible – its better for their feet. a-Anne _____ From: nosurgery4clubfoot [mailto:nosurgery4clubfoot ] On Behalf Of mfolkemer_1999 Sent: 28 September 2005 14:45 To: nosurgery4clubfoot Subject: first pair of walking shoes Our son was born with bcf on 9/9/04.
