Guest guest
Wanted to share this with all who are to fatigued to try to cook. Found out at the last minute that I had enough grocery points to receive a free turkey. I asked the manager of the meat department to cut the frozen turkey inato 4 pieces, I put 3 quart turkeys in seal a meal bags and put them in the freezer. Found a box of crock pot bags,I had seen them advertized on TV, through in some baby carrots and onions and a quarter cup of water and then the quarter turkey. I let it cook for 10 or 12 hours. We went to bed late so I turned it on about 1 am. It turned out terrific moist flavorful and a real treat. I just opened up a can of campbells turkey gravy and made a bag of peppridge farms stuffing to whice I added onion and celery and let it cook for an hour in the oven. Our dinner was terrific and there was enough turkey left for another meal. Nice thing was the crockpot was easy to clean by using the cooking bag. They are made specifically for crock pots not the oven kind. Judy in PA.
