Marci,

It will be fine! Just remember that you are in excellent hands. When

I was pregnant with Sammy and looking for an orthopaedic doctor

(before I found this group) I asked one of the doctors I work with if

he knew anyone; he in turn asked the Division Chief of Pediatric

Orthopaedics at Children's Hospital, and he highly recommended Dr.

Dobbs; " He's an excellent surgeon " was what he said. Well now, in

retrospect I find that very interesting; that he is well known and is

highly recommended by Dr. Ponseti for doing this non-surgical method,

but he is also obviously highly regarded among his peers as a surgeon.

Makes him a good doc all around if you ask me.

I know the tenotomy can be a little scary, but it really and truly is

no big deal, and it is just one step closer to the end result of

perfect little tootsies! You will just be amazed when you look at her

feet in 6 months and they look just like a normal foot.

We'll be thinking of you on Monday!

I am already amazed how her feet look and know it is only going to get better

makes me so happy. I am so thankful to have Dr. Dobbs, I really feel that God

led us to him. I did not have time to do much resaerch, and I was totally

trustful of my local dr who was sending me to surgery. It was only by

" accident " that we ended up in St Louis instead of Lexington. I know we are

where we are supposed to be now. Thank you for your support and for thinking of

us.

Good luck Mom and Mollie!

Trust me-it is a lot harder on the parent than it is on the child-my

son after having hand surgery couldn't wait to play again and crawl

again while his poor mama was looking for a stiff drink!! Good luck,

you are in great hands!

Mollie's tenotomy on Monday went well. She cried but a said

there were no tears, she thinks Mollie was just mad at being held

down. She wouldn't even take the bottle I sent with her and I know she

was hungry. I cried too. Dr Dobbs said it went well and looked

great. She did fine on the 4 hour ride home, slept mostly. Later that

night she got unusually cranky and would starle herself awake. I gave

some tylenol and she's been fine ever since!

She also went to her ped yesterday for her 4 month checkup. He said

she was doing good.

Anyway, I'n looking forward to being done with the casts. Come on

October 17th, LOL!!
