RNY vs. BPD/DS on Christian list

Hi Carole,

You probably saw my reply to that woman and the list serve owners

retort. Essentially, we were told to shut up. There have been questions

raised about that surgeon. I don't believe that the woman in question

would have brought up the issue if it didn't bother her. I don't have

the impression that she is very comfortable with abandoning the DS

option. I agree that she seems to believe that the Holy Spirit is

operating through one doctor's opinion and I find that disconcerting.

I am new to this list, by the way, and would love to hear good and bad

reviews of Dr. Herron at Mount Sinai. I have an appointment there

on November 1. I hate to put it this way, but my chief worry concerns

bowel movements! I worry that things will be uncontrollable after

surgery.

I first subscribed to WLS-uncensored but that was simply bizarre. I

hope to learn much from all of you!

Isn't that the list run by that woman who just argues agains

wls all the time? I was on her list and I quit after one day.

This one is much better and you will learn A LOT!

Hi . So far I have only heard good things about Dr. Herron. I have

decided to go more locally but originally was going to see Dr. H. I think

we all are concerned about bowel movements. My surgery is Thursday and I

still worry about them. On a positive note, I have started taking

acidophilus to help build the good floura in my intestines. You see, I have

a very sensitive stomach already. Good luck with your consult in November!

Yes Carole -

WLS uncensored is hosted by a woman named Sue W. who also has some

'truth telling websites'. She has not had WLS and seeks to inform others

of the dangers, especially ghastly future ones she anticipates that

physicians don't know about yet. She seeks to 'save others' from

'mutilating their intestines'.

I think she has too much time on her hands...

I have already learned quite a lot on this list, thanks to all of you.

She's pretty much a freak of nature, but sometimes it's good to hear the

anti-WLS arguments. It strengthened my resolve and made me investigate some

of her wacked-out claims. Now that I'm pretty firm in my decision, though,

I think I'm goign to unsub from there.
