Guest guest
- Our son gets clothes both ways-however, I think to this day my husband and I have only bought maybe a couple packs of " onesies " . Our bigggest resource for clothing is my friend who has a 5 year old son. She loves sending me packages of her son's clothes---ahh I look forward to the day when she asks me-are you ready for more?!? That way it isnt really a " Stranger " giving us used clothing. My other resource is my Mom who loves to do what said-buying clearance after season-it can be hard to predict what size a 1 year old will be in a year but I figure I am only spending a couple of bucks-worse case the wear it once. I have been scoping the 80% clearance racks at Kohl's recently. Another resource for you bargain hunters out there===the internet. Overstock.com has some great deals, as well as you can sign up for coupon savings from Gerber, s, Osh Kosh to be used at stores or their outlets. I love a good bargain. I just got a pair of pants for myself-regular price 80 bucks for 4dollars!!! I dont know if i will ever wear them but I couldnt pass it up! LOL! kathleen > > > > Our son was born with bcf on 9/9/04. Guest guest
Same thing here. I did save alot of my 1st daughter's clothes, but much of it my 2nd daughter can't wear--different seasons, plus the whole CF thing. Although now with reduced hours that's less of an issue. And then #2 in the middle is a boy. So I've got 3 different ages to buy for. My best source? A Children's Place outlet about 20 mins away--I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS buy a year ahead. My kids are big, but I find that with Children's Place they pretty much always are in the size corresponding to their age. I'd say about 80% of my kids wardrobe is from there. I do get *some* hand-me-downs from a friend for my son, and some for my girls from my SIL, which help a little. But the best bet is to always try to stay a year ahead & buy things on clearance. I got Neve's (DD#1) entire wardrobe for next summer for about $60. > > > > > Our son was born with bcf on 9/9/04.
